New Friday Post!

Bronwyn and I always swap blogs on Fridays. We just released a new book called The Way Life Turns. In the book we were given the same set of characters and the same basic beginning. We each had to tell the story in our own way after that. The idea of writing the book is to celebrate our differences as writers.

For the same reason, we're answering the same question, but in our own unique way.

Shameless book plug:

What happens when two men are in very different places in their relationship?

Almost from the start of their relationship, Jonah was in love with Scott. Scott doesn’t share that same sentiment. Jonah finds out exact how Scott feels about him the hard way, when he sees Scott in a compromising position with someone else. How they react becomes the challenge two authors have set out to solve. Will there be forgiveness or misery as Jonah reacts to what Scott has done?

And now I'll answer the question:

If I woke up in a different time when would that be and why?

So I have a Bachelor's Degree in Public History, which basically just mean I know a little bit about the history of the United States. It's pretty useless when it comes to finding a job, but no one can deny that I love my country. A lot, considering I spend a crap ton of money learning about it.

During my studies, I mostly learned about Civil Rights history. So I'd want to me right in the thick of things. Side-by-side with people who tried to make a difference. They were the people who started changing minds with changed the laws here. It was the start of true equality, which at least gave us a platform to continue the journey. I would have liked to be there at the start, instead of in the middle.
