Bronwyn's WIP Friday

WIP Friday
This is a series nearly forgotten. It’s a series I really want to write. It’s the series I love the idea too but am afraid of the research I’m going to have to do. Mostly because of the mental state of the characters. It’s the series that I thought was blood and sex compared to me light romance of Moonlit Wolves series. And I think if you’ve read that series you can probably understand that more.
I honestly thought that series was light, how wrong I was, but that means this one…
Anyway, this series will be published. Sometime in the future it’s a series that will push me and I need that sometimes. Hell, most of the time, sadly enough.
I’d also like to add that with this comes a short story, which I have written, in full, lol. I would have shown it here, but, well…gotta keep some secrets.
Tentative title: Making A New Way (Assassin’s Union)
Excerpt – remember this has not been edited in any way
Most things considering Quintus never thought this was how his life would turn out…

Locke's Love (Lakehouse Security #4) Excerpt

Image
So Locke's Love is available for pre-order on All Romance ebooks. It's already ranked 31 on the bestsellers list! I'm so very thankful for everyone who pre-ordered!

Coming August 1st to Extasy Books

Locke finally felt like he was going to burst open and said the first thing that came to his mind. “I need all of Phillip Avery’s files sent here. Is that something you can get or would it be easier to contact Justin?” “I can get it without a problem but Avery’s kind of in jail now, so why do you need it?” Danny still typed away at his computer without looking at Locke, which again was pissing Locke off. “I just do.” Danny looked up from his computer then, his eyes narrowed. “I’m on this mission with you and I don’t want to get killed because you’re in a pissy mood and don’t feel like telling me shit.” “I saw someone that resembled Avery. I want to check his family history.” “Was that so hard?” Danny smirked. Locke stood up and paced the room. He came back around to where Dann…

Locke's Love (Lakehouse Security #4) Blurb and Excerpt

Image
Here's a small taste of the next Lakehouse Security book. This is Danny's story, the sexy, blond computer geek.
Blurb

Unrequited love really sucked sometimes, especially when you’re stuck with them for days.

Danny Newell has loved Locke for six years. Every time they have to work together that love grows just a little bit more desperate. Of course, it would be easier if Locke gave him the time of day. When Danny gets a phone call late at night and goes out on a mission by himself the last person he expects to go after him is Locke. Being stuck on a mission with a man that despises him is not his favorite thing to say the least.

Locke took a deep breath and tried not to look at Danny. If he looked, then he might actually give in to his desire to pulled the man into a kiss and hug him. That was probably the only thing that would help his heart to stop beating so fucking fast in his chest.

“It would have taken you ten seconds to message me back. Tell me what was going on.” Locke s…

#MySexySaturday--Our Sexy Place

Image
This week #MSS102 is Our Sexy Place and what is sexier than riding on the back of a horse with the love of your life. In the Pickleville series every book takes place in a small town. In book 6 Neil is a cowboy who loves horses. Owen not so much. It makes for a very sweet sexy scene. An excerpt is below.

What happens when an angry, bitter man meets the love of his life?

Blurb Sometimes you have to lose it all to gain the best in life. Owen Ashby was in a car accident that didn’t only leave him paralyzed but changed his whole life forever. Owen turns into an angry man, pushing everyone who loves him away. His brother and cousin drop him off at the Heath Farm as a last ditch effort to help Owen get on with his life and change his attitude. Owen meets Neil, a farmhand whose innocence captures Owen’s attention. Neil is the only one that has been able to see through Owen’s bad attitude. Owen must get his life together if he wants a chance with Neil.

Bronwyn's WIP Friday

It’s WIP Friday
This one isn’t quite a WIP but it’s what I’m working on this week. It’s a blog story (that no one read) and so I’m revamping it, editing it and publishing it in November 2015.
so we are clear this is not edited. Still in first drafts
“I miss you.” Mike’s voice was low, not whispering, but definitely discreet. Though being that it was nearly midnight, Jacob wasn’t surprised. “I know, miss you too. Wish I was there.” “Me too.” Mike sighed. “But you have other people’s problems to deal with.” “You tell them?”    A deep sigh. “No. I can’t seem to open my mouth. I’m so fucking nervous.” “You know you don’t have to do this, right?” “Yeah, I do. For you. For us. They need to know. Everyone needs to know. Or what’s the difference?” “The difference is you toldme you loved me. You don’t hide me like I’m some dirty fucking secret anymore. That’s enough for me. I know you wouldn’t hide me from your family if they asked. I just don’t get why you need to put yourself through this.” Mike…

Crafty Tuesday (Reviewing Books)

Image
So last week I talked about how important reading was for me as a writer. Reading is where it all started for me. Reading led to writing reviews for a couple of the bigger review sites.

So what does Reviewing books have to do with Writing books?

1. Well, reviewing for as many years as I did was great writing practice. And practice is never a waste of time.

2. I just read a blurb for this book that was a mess. I won't name the book as everyone has their own opinion on things like this. Writing reviews definitely helped me write decent blurbs. If you're an author than you know how hard it sometimes can be. That one little paragraph can sometimes be the hardest part.

3. Reviewing definitely gave me an opportunity the read things that I might not have read. I definitely
have some most read authors that quickly jumped on my favorite list after I review their book. One of my all time favorite author's is Carol Lynne. I reviewed a Campus Cravings book, which had been the first tim…

Bronwyn Heeley's WIP

WIP Friday again, yay!!
This one is coming from book 2 in my Sci-Fi series. It’s a new thing that came out of me fixing up My Outside My Inside, and I love it, the idea, that is
The series is called Encounter in Space, I’m thinking, and this one’s is Outside Sanity. It will be coming out in January 2016 sometime, I’m hoping the first week
Please remember it’s in first drafts still, so not even slightly edited.
The cage shifted, tipping up on one corner and tumbling John into the other, which just happened to be the opposite from where he’d been huddling. The bar’s hurt his hand and cheek as he tried to save himself from the fall but he didn’t know it had been about to come alone with it being a very violent move. It was as if the person didn’t give a shit about the condition he’d be found in once they opened up the metal box they’d slide his cage into. Ouch. It was hard for John to get up the courage to shift his body enough that his face wasn’t hurting any more as it lay against the th…

Introducing Crafty Tuesday (The Importance of Reading!)

Image
What is Crafty Tuesday? Well, basically it's just me sharing my experiences with writing and other crafty, artistic endeavors. In this post, I thought I'd talk about how I came to write M/M Romance. For those of you new to me as an author, M/M stands for Male/Male.

I'm not going to get into the boring debate about how I'm a bi-sexual female writing gay romance. I will say this and this though. If you don't like what I write than don't read it. Enough said.

Moving on.

Instead, I'd like to focus on how reading in the genre your writing is essential.

I got started reading the genre through a book group. Around ten years ago, there used to be bookswap websites. Now, before you start think it was a pirating site, you should know I'm talking about paperbacks. This was before ebooks were just about the only way to read. For those of you still clinging to paperbacks, you might want to get with the ebook program. They aren't going anywhere.

Anyway, the group …

Coming to Extasy Books July 15th! Great summer read!

They place the white chair thing in the tub and screwed something into the sides of it so it locked in somehow. Leonard left after they were done, closing the door behind him. Neil stayed, turning to face him. Owen bent at the waist, trying to hide as much of himself as he could. He knew his face must be red, and for a black man that was probably a sight.
“Can you get the hell out of the bathroom? Please?” Owen wasn’t above begging in that moment.
“No. I have to make sure the chair is fixed in place. You’ll fall otherwise,” Neil said.
“Can you wait until after I’m done using the toilet?”
“Sure, but I have a question. How can you feel it when you pee or poop?”
“Oh my God. This house is—” he was going to say crazy but then he looked up at Neil out of the corner of his eye and couldn’t finish that sentence. He looked so eager to help. The open expression on his face made Owen pause. For the second time in his life, he thought abo…

#MySexySaturday-We're Sexy HOT!

Image
My Sexy Saturday turns 100 today and We're Sexy HOT this week! I have it on good authority that #MySexySaturday will celebrate with an end of summer bash the third week in September. I'll definitely post more about that in the future when I have all the finer details.
To celebrate the 100th blog tour I'm giving a sneak peek at the next Lakehouse Security book, Locke's Love (Lakehouse Security #4). The book comes out August 1st. So far the cover as remained in my vault (Just kidding-I don't have a vault, but I really haven't shown anyone until today).

Bornwyn Heeley's Favorites-Comtemporary Series

Image
This week blog swap we are going to talk books we love.

This week it’s contemporary series.

As soon as we started talking about this, one series popped into my mind. Before I wondered, bam! this was it, my fav.

And then the thoughts tumbled, because I have a LOT of contemporary series that I love, that are top 10 that are great and wonderful and I’d LOVE LOVE to talk about, but I’ve been caught up on this series, and with a re-read I think it’ll be the one I’ll talk about first.

Heaven Sent series by Jet Mykles

This is one of the first mm series that I read. This was before I had my iPad and really entered the mm romance genre. It’s a manga style light contemporary.

The series revolves around the band Heaven Sent, they are popular, they are hot, and of course they are all falling for men, lol

They series is written in the one of the MC’s head, the bottom’s that is, and starts with the singer.

Heaven

We enter the series with Taylor a sweet sexually clueless manager of a hotel. They have just op…
